“Small” is not a universal measurement. Labels vary by garment, cut, audience, and vendor, so a useful collection begins with the chart attached to the item you intend to buy.
Preserve spelling and order
If the vendor lists XS, S, M, L, XL, and 2XL, copy those labels in that order. Do not silently rename 2XL to XXL or sort numeric labels alphabetically. The final tally should be easy to compare with the same catalogue page.
Freeze labels after responses begin
Renaming or removing a label after someone selected it changes the meaning of their answer. Review the list before sharing; once active responses exist, keep labels locked and correct only participant-owned choices through receipts.
